Here is the plan for the day
- Explore the San Juan del Sur region
- Going to see my friends in Nandaime for my hammock project
- Return to sleep in San Juan del Sur
Before heading to Nandaime, I decided this morning to return to Playa Marsella. A place I had visited in 2018.
I'm going to say hello to Maria and Marcelino.
Here is the photo from 2022.
In 2018, I spent a few days there. I was very happy to see them again after 3 years.

Here is my photo from 2018
However, this year I'm exploring the region by motorcycle; it's much easier because last time I was on a bicycle!

I take the time to enjoy a sublime lunch cooked by Maria.

I paid 150 cordobas (Nio), which is about $5.42 (CAD)
Here is some useful information regarding the Nicaraguan currency (Nio).

I take the time to say hello to my friend the parrot; it's quite funny because he imitates the cries of a crying baby! I find this animal fascinating!

Here are the prices listed in Cordobas (Nio) for the products offered by my friends.
This is Playa Marsella

I continued my journey to Nandaime to visit the Oscar Arnulfo Romero Center. It was there that Collège Mont Notre-Dame organized humanitarian trips with the help of the Spirale organization. However, the situation in Nicaragua deteriorated significantly in 2018.

The situation in Nicaragua has been difficult since 2018.
Nicaragua: Eleven dead in protests against President Daniel Ortega. Since April 18, 2018, an unprecedented wave of protests has swept the country. It has so far claimed ninety-eight lives. (98 dead)

Change of subject---> Life goes on...

I'm going to get my hair cut for 60 cordobas ($2.17 CAD)
I'm going to visit Maria and her daughter Lucia for my secret hammock project! Shh....

I would like to organize a fair trade hammock exchange between Nicaragua and Canada. Details to come soon.
I am visiting my Morales family who hosted me in 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018.

I'm having fun with Elieser, we're playing ball and jumping.

After sharing a meal with the Morales family, I had to get back on the road by motorcycle to San Juan del Sur. The road was very difficult, and the wind was fierce! It wasn't the brightest idea to cover that distance in a single day. I was exhausted.
I arrived just in time to enjoy the sunset...but a lovely surprise awaited me on the beach!!!

Then I spent the evening with my friend Juan Carlos, who is a fantastic guide for me. A little reward was in order!!! ahahah

Thank you life for giving me the chance to live all these adventures!
Life is beautiful!
Enjoy!!!
Smile!!!
