Scout Always (Scout View)
Gilles Larivière The Millennium Meeting, 2005 Granite, brass
Like a character in its own right, this sculpture stands in the landscape to bear witness to the vitality of Scouting in the Eastern Townships, evoking the values of dedication, honesty, and justice to which its members have adhered. It marks their entry into the 3rd millennium. Its casket contains the names of most of the members since its founding in 1931, as well as testimonials from Scouts of the year 2000. This creation carries a message of unity to future generations.
