Cavendish is a coastal community on Prince Edward Island, Canada, best known as a summer tourist destination and the site of the iconic house in Lucy Maud Montgomery's novel "Anne of Green Gables." It is part of the resort municipality of Stanley Bridge, Hope River, Bayview, Cavendish and North Rustico, and its economy is based primarily on tourism and agriculture.
