Exponential Function

Are you familiar with the Ice Bucket Challenge ?

This challenge can be explained using an exponential function.

The rule of an exponential function is f(x) = a ( base ) x , where f(x) represents the number of infected people, a is the initial value, b is the base, and x represents the number of days since the start of the challenge.

So, if we take the example of the ice bucket challenge, we will obtain the following formula:

f(x) = ( 3 ) x

f(x) = ( 3 ) 0 = 1

f(x) = ( 3 ) 1 = 3

f(x) = ( 3 ) 2 = 9

f(x) = ( 3 ) 3 = 27

f(x) = ( 3 ) 4 = 81

f(x) = ( 3 ) 5 = 243

f(x) = ( 3 ) 6 = 729

f(x) = ( 3 ) 7 = 2187

f(x) = ( 3 ) 8 = 6561

f(x) = ( 3 ) 9 = 19683

f(x) = ( 3 ) 10 = 59049
